Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
I’ve said in the past and I’ll say it again—for years Spurs have been a very well run club, especially compared to others.
However, the Mourinho and Nuno hires, plus holding onto Kane have been insanely stupid decisions. Surprisingly stupid, if I’m being honest.
Not sure who the hell they’ll bring in now, as Conte won’t last under Levy and be yet another panic decision from a club who should be looking years ahead, not months ahead.Last edited by Krebstar; 11-01-2021, 07:05 AM.Comment

It doesn't make any sense to me. What changed that Conte wants to go to Tottenham now compared to in the summer?Comment

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
He won’t get a damn thing he wants, especially because Spurs blew their huge Kane sale opportunity, as he’ll continue to devalue himself even under Conte as he clearly no longer wants to be there.
Conte at the right club is obviously deadly, but Spurs is far from the right club. It’s insane how hiring Poch was their last good managerial decision. Dumping him instead of players was the first of many ridiculous decisions.Comment

They won’t do ****. The window of them having a world class manager and it mattering has closed, plus, can you think of a worse fit for Conte than dealing with Levy?

I think the Conte hire will help Kane. He does a pretty good job with strikers in his system and it’s a forward thinking move as opposed to Nuno who was like 8th choice.
Conte will eventually clash with Levy because that’s what he does but Spurs have to make that hire, especially considering they nearly got him in the summer after hiring his old buddy as Managing Director. I actually think Conte made the better choice if he was indeed also close to United. I think their squad is better suited for his tactics.
This season is already nuts. Spurs, for as bad as their performances have been, are only 5 pts off 5th.

So why does it seem like there’s so many incompetent Football Directors/Decision makers?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
The real issue is does he want to be there, under any manager? Top manager or not, it's still at the club that he knows won't support the manager who will demand support, and by support, I mean an expensive shopping list of specific players he requires to win something with them.
There will be big wins, undefeated runs, and ridiculous musings about how maybe they could challenge for the league before reality smacks the contrarians in the face as Conte is publicly slating the club's hierarchy.Comment

The main goal is financial success, not sporting success (which is no longer required for financial success), and clubs are richer than ever, so it all gets ignored.Comment
