Wales Vs. Belgium tonight! Considering Wales are the only team left in the tournament I can truly root for (although Iceland are my second choice!), I'm hoping for a victory. I really can't see them getting past Belgium though.

Re: Euro 2016 Discussion Thread
Belgium got hosed by a few calls at the end but deservedly lost. You can't only show up for the first and last 10 minutes of the game and be mad you lost. Not to mention their entire game plan for the last 50 was hoofing it to Fellaini.
Wilmots is a joke, tasked with one of the most impressive golden generations since Spain and has completely wasted it. So far out of his depth, honestly think he's worse than Hodgson, because at least Hodgson isn't very clearly under the impression he's the greatest manager on earth.Comment

Re: Euro 2016 Discussion Thread
Wales has appeared in 2 major tournaments and made 1 semifinal.
England has appeared in 23 major tournaments and made 4 semifinals.
2 of those 4 tourneys were hosted by England, and another (Euro 68) featured only 4 teams in total, so the English made the semis by default (and lost). So England's only legit result ever on foreign soil was barely beating Cameroon thanks to a couple late penalties in a World Cup '90 QF. This is the home of football?Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Re: Euro 2016 Discussion Thread
We've seen some superb goals so far in this tournament including Nainggolan's equalizer but Hal Robson-Kanu's goal yesterday is the goal of the tournament for me. Left 3 Belgium defenders for dead.
Some on the Premier League will take a chance on him. His contract expired yesterday so can move anywhere on a Bosman.Comment

Hell, even when England won the world cup they weren't considered the best in the world (not to mention a late equalizer given to England that never crossed the line, which allowed them to win in extra time). Yet England still considers itself "up there" with Germany/Italy/Brazil etc.
Saw a stat the other day that really puts everything in perspective; since their world cup win in 66, England has won a total of 6 knockout round games internationally. In that time span, Germany has won 6 TOURNAMENTS.Comment
