The 2016-17 Other Leagues Discussion Thread

What a strange season at Glasgow Rangers. First was the whole Joey Barton fiasco.

Now manager Mark Warburton, assistant manager David Weir, and head of recruitment Frank McParland are gone.

According to a club statement, they all turned in their resignation earlier in the week because all 3 were expected to head to Nottingham Forest. When that fell through, they tried to rescind their resignations, which the board were having none of.

However, Warburton is insisting he never offered up a resignation.

Can we just have one season without controversy?

Gianluigi Donnarumma is finally turning 18 this weekend.

He's made 55 league appearances for Milan so far.

        Beats my 18th birthday.

Just posting this because I follow Madrid every now and then for Ronnie, and it still amazes me how he always "hangs" in the air when he goes for headers. Also, his headers are usually bullets too -- lots of pace! I think it's really only his free-kicks that have declined compared to his United days.

Machine! And 601-699 is 98 goals including the one against Valencia (on top).

2011-2015 a goal a game. Always makes me a lil upset when I hear people call Brazilian Ronaldo the "Real Ronaldo".

I prefer calling Brazilian Ronaldo the "OG Ronaldo."

In this particular case, I'm actually find with people just using their abbreviated monikers instead of their names.

CR7 and R9, nice and simple.

Sutton's keeper had to come off injured and they didn't have a backup. Bwahahahaha.

Las Palmas v Madrid game was bonkers. One of the most entertaining matches I've watched this season.

Madrid missed so many chances especially when you add in all the offside goals Morata scored. That last one was questionable though.

Bale's idiocy cost them the 3 points.

As much as everyone complains about offside calls that result in a goal, the reality is it goes against attackers far more often and that isn't even supposed to be the case.

If it is too close to call, the benefit of the doubt is supposed to go with the attacker, but 90% of the time it's with the defender.

Imo Morata's third shouldn't have been called offside.

Yeah I thought the left back at the top of the screen was keeping him on.

Prince mocking Ronaldo's "point at his thigh" celebration was pretty funny.

Crazy match though. Better than the Atleti-Barca match from the weekend.

I know neither Barca and Atletico are in top form right now but I was kind of disappointed by that game as well.
