Re: 2019-20 UEFA Competitions Thread
Robertson’s hilarious comments regarding Atletico celebrating is the result of someone reaching deep into their *** and being unable to pull out a result as they’ve become accustomed to doing so.
Should be a great second leg, and yes Andy, Atletico will be there.Comment

Re: 2019-20 UEFA Competitions Thread
Klopp has not lost a 2-leg knockout tie at Liverpool. Simeone has never lost a knockout tie to a team that didn't contain Ronaldo. Something's gonna give!
Methinks that Morata miss is going to haunt them.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 02-19-2020, 02:03 PM.Comment

Re: 2019-20 UEFA Competitions Thread
Eh FFP is a joke and always has been.
It's always been about protecting the big establishment-rich clubs. There's no way for PSG, City, and even Chelsea when Roman took over could compete with the likes of United, Barca, Real, etc... without dumping tons of cash into the club along the way. The books are never going to balance when you're upgrading coaches, players, training staffs, grounds, etc... and you're still on crappy sponsorship deals because you're trying to build your brand and narrow the gap between clubs that have huge head starts.
To me, the good Spanish clubs (Barca, Real, Atletico) are the biggest at fault. Government handouts, debt's completely wiped, changes to immigration laws, etc... just flaunted in UEFA's face. Valencia seems to be the only club that plays by the rules there and they're just getting back on their feet after some horrible years.Comment

The reason we were hated wasn't because everyone truly had some moral objection to Roman's money, otherwise they'd be writing constant hit-pieces on Adidas/Nike/etc. who were legitimately worse.
Chelsea broke into the top 4 and ruined a party that was otherwise looking like it would never end. That's why we were hated, and City are hated for the same reason.Comment

Werner missed a few he would usually get. I'm curious to see what the Special One will cook up down heading to Leipzig for the second leg.Comment

Re: 2019-20 UEFA Competitions Thread
He doesn’t have much by the way of options.
Kane & Son hurt
Sold Eriksen
Probably the worst result for Spurs. Now they have to chase a result and Leipzig can sit back and do what they do best, counter.
Ampadu played pretty well for a kid who has barely featured all year.

Napoli being their annoying *** selves.
EDIT: Barca with one back, and Chelsea has essentially lost the tie already giving up 2 away goals. (To a former Arsenal player, nice)Last edited by ImTellinTim; 02-25-2020, 05:21 PM.Comment
