    Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread

Manchester United have missed out on a proposed new training kit deal worth £200m over 10 years after the Manchester-based company The Hut Group had concerns about the supporters’ campaign to boycott the club’s commercial partners in protest at the Glazers’ ownership, the Observer understands.

It is understood THG, a multibillion pound company with offices near Manchester Airport, was concerned that as a local business it would be targeted by disaffected fans in Greater Manchester.

Ouch. I guess the fans can make a difference.

Whatever English club signs Bissouma this Summer for whatever price will be annoyingly praised for their smart transfer business once he plays several matches for them, as if he magically came out of nowhere.

If they stuck with Bilic I would’ve been fine seeing them stay up, and I think he could’ve turned it around—they had been very unlucky in the few games before he was sacked.

Imagine being relegated because of Chris Wood.

That's not a sending off for Areola? Hit his hand.

Arsenal may be out of Europe, but at least Kreb has won his heated rivalry with Fulham, with Fulham being relegated.

Big Sam and Fulham relegated—it’s been a dream season.

I know it entirely goes against my dislike of yo-yo clubs...but I’m also happy to see Norwich City return. I’ve always had a soft spot for them, mildly due to Stephen Fry and Alan Partridge.

I kind of enjoy Norwich for the simple fact that they seemingly just know their place, and don't try to and spend their way to survival. They are very prudent.

I don’t mind Pukki but I absolutely hated Grant Holt.

Bingo—they're a well run club and owned by a couple who were season ticket holders before they invested in the club.

They put the club/community first, even it it means dropping back into the Championship but not going into administration in a few years, or being bailed out by an overseas billionaire.

Glad they're on their way back up.

The young kid for Southampton, Obafemi. He's like 5 foot nothing but he's built like a brick sh*thouse.
