I know the depth of Liverpool performance breakdowns on here ends with “Another three points” or “they’ll find a way to win”, but they’ve been asking for a smack with the high line.

As Klopp explained after the Arsenal match, they’re using it to open up the game to allow themselves opportunities as well, but if the opponent takes the few chances you give them, this can be the result.

Villa haven’t played tough opposition yet but they’ve looked dangerous in attack. Give them opportunities and they’ve looked ready to take them.

The Arsenal match, to me, was surprisingly categorized another dominant Liverpool win, but that match was a decent Lacazette finish away from 2-2.

Even if they grab points from this it’ll be interesting to see how Klopp adjusts after the interlull.
