Lol not even close. Neither should be sent off but asking for a red for what Fred did was laughable.

Agreed though his eventual sending off was on Solksjaer. Not even sure what he sees in Fred to play in the first place.

Should it be a red? No, but it's not laughable to want consistency. It's laughable to expect it, but not to want it.

I agree that consistency should be paramount but it starts and ends in my mind with play acting and embellishment. As I said wirg Pepe previously, there should have been two yellows. One for the nudge and another for the Emmy.

If I'm making the rules I'm giving a red to each player when they stupidly press their foreheads together "like two crap stags" (credit to Arseblog) while pretending to be two hard men. If they want to be children they can do it off the field. Hell, give them both reds but allow a substitute to be brought on for each—just get them the hell out of the game.

I'd have no problem with that. Sort of like footies version of an unsportsmanlike conduct. I just think Football si so unique in that a red is such a permanent change to the rest of the game.

Either that or have a much better clarification of violent conduct. Were these headbutts stupid? Yes. Were they intended to maim? No. They weren't intended to be or any more violent than the pushing, grabbing fellow players by the neck, and shoving that came afterwards. Either remove the two parties or issue yellows and move on.

Rangers still unbeaten in all competitions this season. Quite a run.

Will be interesting to see how long Gerrard keeps them going before they slip.

United just have zero consistency. Not like I expected them to really make noise in Europe but it’s just an embarrassment to come out so often in every competition not ready to play the first 20 or so minutes. It’s nearly every game.

PSG and Istanbul walk off the pitch after the 4th official says something racist.

Good for them! No room for that BS in footy let alone the world!
