Re: 2021-2022 English Football Thread
We played very poorly that game, but honestly we still got Mike Dean'd even if you count Rudi getting sent off.
Aside from that, that game felt like we were playing away, Brighton got basically every call they needed and March spent most of the game just kicking people. He actually had two separate instances where he leveled someone right after a pass, Dean played advantage, and then just never re-visited it lmao.
We didn't deserve much from that game and Brighton played well, but they got a huge amount of help from Mike Dean and I doubt people will talk much about it since we are the big club (also because we are Chelsea, which is fair).Comment

Surprisingly, this was Kevin De Bruyne's first assist of the season tonight in 14 games played.Comment

Been a fan of this guy for a while and never understood how Barca let this guy go for so cheap. Also the year when Getafe almost made the uCL he was phenomenal really wanted Arsenal to get him but Brighton have a heck of a player.Comment

It's the inevitable stupid solution and it's why we're all living the hell we are. There's no positives if we don't test—brilliant.Comment

I just now saw that Rudiger challenge on Lampety from yesterday. Holy ****—ban him for six matches. We're hurdling towards a compound fracture 'he's not that kind of player, he's just so passionate, you can't take physicality out of the game' career changing tackle and it's maddening to see.Comment

Based on Lukaku’s comments, he’s going back to Italy after this year, isn’t he?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2021-2022 English Football Thread
Yeah that was a poor challenge Kreb. No blue bias here. Should have been sent off but he has that reputation for being a “tough agitator” so I’m sure that helped. You know how it is with reps.
Pack, idk. Just a week ago his agent told Romano he loves it here. The week in between he scores the winner and assists the third goal and then scored again yesterday. I’m sure we promised him that we’d play a style suitable to him (maybe the 3-5-2) but this season has been a ckusterfk of injuries/COVID/etc… with no real preseason so who honestly idk wtf he expected. He’s 29 and on massive wages. His options are severely limited.
But in all seriousness, it sounds like just mounting pressure on Tuchel which is par the course for ANY Chelsea manager. We strive in chaos so who knows, we might eff around and win the UCL, League Cup, and FA Cup [emoji23]

What a great ball by Shaw to Ronaldo who fails to do literally the only (on field) thing he was signed to do.Comment

Re: 2021-2022 English Football Thread
He seems absurdly lucky to not be sent off more often. Maybe it's just recency bias, but he's always at the middle of everything. Was it the end of the Aston Villa match where there was a bit of a scuffle? If that's the I'm thinking of, it's basically over and he runs over and reinstigates it and has to show how much or a hard man he is.
