    The Arsenal assassin strikes again.

    Ramsdale should do better there.

What a last kick of the ball! Really shouldn't have scored from there.

Mane cut inside and white went with him and left Jota wide open.

        Poor from Ramsdale.

Even poorer from ø just minutes before.

Quick free kick by Arsenal. If Laca was switched on he was in there.

Oh god, no, not Arsenal, they’re on such a hot streak, this could really trip us up, oh god, they could beat us, they really could, I’m so nervous, oh god no, such a tricky fixture, that Ødegaard, so handsome, oh god Arteta’s hair, they’re so in form, I’m shaking, oh god, what will we do if they bring Nketiah off the bench, oh god.

Fun match to watch. Arsenal’s midfield played brilliantly. Martinelli is quite a player. Once Arsenal get a more dynamic striker in, you’ll see him really break out and put up the G/A stats. Turning point was the great save by Alisson, then Ramsdale letting in a goal at his near post moments later. Other than that chance, Liverpool did a great job of snuffing out any danger in the penalty area. So did Arsenal for the most part.

Liverpool came out fighting for the ball in the 2nd half and made their chances count, and that was the difference.

Job done, on to the next one!

Is that really your reaction after that match? It was pretty ****ing evenly matched.

My reaction mirrors my prediction. The team with far, far more depth and talent won, which doesn't affect my opinion of where Arsenal are, or how happy I am to currently watch them. I didn't think it would be 0-5, but I've watched enough Arsenal to know we don't put away our chances, we have no depth that can change a game, and we're as equally defensively frail as we are resolute at times. We're in the infancy of a literal rebuilding project, and unless you watch that team consistently it can be easy to only see the good.

Nothing surprised me (not even that average Premier League player Martin Ødegaard being his usual, average self).

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to return to my occasional trolling.

I think it was as evenly matched as Liverpool let it be in the first half, they didn’t really show up and Arsenal still didn’t create anything

The one big moment was the Thiago back pass but Liverpool got out of second gear in the second half and Arsenal couldn’t keep up with them. It was a very impressive second half

Yes I did cave and ended up watching

I think 1-0 would’ve been a fair result. They weren’t two goals better IMO.

They are clearly head and shoulders above us—but today was a brilliant performance; despite the result. We made a couple of mistakes which cost us a couple goals.

They had 2 goals on 3 shots on target.

As has been stated, we have to get a proper striker (plus depth).

I was hoping for at least a draw, but I can’t be overly disappointed from that display tonight.

                              Ok I mean, at risk of complementing Liverpool;

people keep talking about how they have more talent and depth than Arsenal, but I think Klopp might be a slightly better manager as well?

He def is, I don’t think any Arsenal fan would disagree but he did bring on Salah and Firmino while Arteta brought on ESR, Nkeitah, and Pepe. Not terrible players for Arsenal to bring on but def not of the same pedigree as the Liverpool pair. Klopp also has had time. They’re a well oiled machine with premium parts. That’s the model I’d like us to follow with/if we get normal owners.
