Re: 2024-2025 English Football Thread
Oh I see, in this instance, VAR determines they need to intervene and essentially ask the referee to change his ‘on field decision’ which the PGMOL has had an erection for in recent times.
In this instance. Tomorrow? No. Next week? No. But today—yes.
****. This. League. I honestly wish the super league happened—really, because this league is a pile of ****.Comment

It’s the right call though Kreb. That’s always a red

Re: 2024-2025 English Football Thread
It’s the consistency. VAR stepped in to help overturn a subjective on-field decision—same referee that sent off Rice after VAR intervened.
It’s about how decisions are arrived at in different matches, because countless violent conduct fouls will go unpunished yet this is now the third red—all on technicalities depending on how officials felt that day or under what new directive they were told this week.
“Well, but they got it right this time” will never be acceptable.
Is Ruben Dias having that call go against him? I’ll leave it at that.Comment

Sure it will. It’s always about getting the call right on the field. The call on the field was a clear and obvious error today. He was the last man back and grabbed Evanilson preventing him a goal scoring opportunity.
We can agree on consistency but at some point your players have to just …I don’t know…stop doing dumb things. Troussard’s back pass…terrible….. Saliba panicking and grabbing Evanilson……unnecessary

Guarantee that call would have been different for “other” teamsComment

That’s two times there should’ve been a goal but Jones is just holding on to the ball for no reason.Comment
