Spurs should have signed Van Bommel on a free while they had the chance. With Modric nicked he would have been ample cover plus bring a bit of toughness to their side.

Re: The Transfer Thread
Losers:
1. Spurs - I don't put them at the top because I'm a Gooner, but they really did nothing to upgrade their squad while their other rivals spent big. Harry spent too much time talking Becks instead of getting a real striker to help out van der Vaart, Bale, and Lennon. Everyone knew they wanted another strike option, but nothing came through. They will be hard pressed to finish in the top 4 this season

Re: The Transfer Thread
Probably true for the non English players but I guarantee that old uncle Harry was just itching to overpay for a couple of decent English players."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

EDIT: I saw 3 million pounds for Pienaar. Not exactly a huge financial windfall.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 02-09-2011, 10:35 AM.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
I hope he does well for you guys as out of all of the big 6 clubs (yes, now I am calling them the big 6), Liverpool is my least hated. I don't care if the guy scores 40 goals a year. That signing is probably the most mind boggling signing I've seen since I've been following the sport."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. I'm still hoping we sign someone with more experience (Neuer/Akinfeev) though. I'd put Llorris in there but he's not been as strongly linked to United unlike Arsenal have been.Comment
