Re: The Transfer Thread
Just read the article on the Guardian. 86.3 million pounds is a helluva lot of money. This would break CR7's record.GT:jb12780

Re: The Transfer Thread
So if this happens, we can basically expect superstars to sell for 200m in a few years, stars for 90m, good players for 60m, and crap for 30m.
Football transfer economics is so out of touch with reality.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
At what point would a team just say, "You want to give us 100 Million........hahahahahaha...............oh, wait your serious.............were do we sign!"

Re: The Transfer Thread
Marca was the original source for pretty much every single Bale rumor currently in circulation
So basically it's probably all 100% fabrication
I believe Paunlinho himself actually said he joined Spurs only after he was assured Bale was staying, and I'd imagine Soldado wouldn't leave Valencia for Spurs if Bale was leaving
Like I said before, unless there is a quote directly from the player's mouth or the official team website, it's best to just assume BSComment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Totti, 36, was contacted by Marco Di Vaio, of Toronto FC, and the former Italy international asked him to join the club, who play Roma in a friendly on August 7."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: The Transfer Thread
I am now hearing United is preparing to bid 40 mil for Fabregas now ....
And what about Modric, I'm pretty sure we could get him for 30-35 mil and I don't think he'd mind a change of scenery.
Valencia could try buying Torres, I think that'd be a good move for him. He did relatively well this past season, I just hope if he leaves he'll be a scoring machine back in SpainManchester United Fan ~~ Real Madrid Supporter ~~ Juventus Supporter ~~ AS Roma SupporterComment

Re: The Transfer Thread
I read a story yesterday that Spurs are open to selling Bale to Real with Modric included as part of the deal.'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.'-Bill ShanklyComment
