It's a heart condition he's had his entire career, obviously still a risk but at that price and considering it hasn't yet prevented him from playing it's probably worth the risk. I do understand why Liverpool don't want to take that risk though, since Sturridge is a little injury prone himself. I don't really blame you guys.
They're doing precisely what I would do in my FIFA career mode. Just buy the best damn offensive players available and try to score your way out of it!

Manchester United have agreed a loan deal for Monaco’s Colombia striker Radamel Falcao. A loan deal for a year has been agreed between the clubs on a fee of £12 million. On the other hand, Real Madrid has signed Mexico striker Javier Hernandez on a season-long loan from Manchester United.
