Re: The Transfer Thread
I'm quite surprised City let Negredo leave on loan and not bring anyone in. Especially with the injury history for Aguero and Jovetic.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Falcao to United also official
I'd say that United are going to do a Liverpool but, sadly, a defense that featured Glenn Johnson is still better than what United has to offer right now.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
The one time he got an extended run at center striker he scored 6 goals in 7 games, I don't think it's out of the question to assume he will live up to his potential. Also doesn't surprise me to hear United fans would want RVP gone, with his injury history and age he can't have much more than a few years left in him at the top level, Welbeck on the other hand is 23 and was bred entirely in the United system.
I'd be furious if I was a United fan.
I can only hope there's a buyback clause in there.
Edit: This guy on reddit basically sums my feelings up, but from a person living in Manchester point of view.Last edited by Leon; 09-02-2014, 12:09 AM.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Judging by what we've seen from United so far this season, that's very generous. I'm predicting they finish 8th. You don't lose to MK Dons 4-0 and challenge for a title.. They might as well play with no one in the back.

Re: The Transfer Thread
Can anyone tell me anything about the guys Spurs brought in?
Federico Fazio and Benjamin Stambouli, I do not know much about them and looking at numbers doesn't really tell the whole story. Do you think they will be improvements?Current careers:

Re: The Transfer Thread
I'm wishing he has his Ramsey transformation with Villa and then comes back to us. Y'know, just to prove Sir Alex was right in placing a lot of faith in him. People seem to forget he was quite good for us in his injury-shortened debut season to the first team back in 11-12 and also looked good in Sir Alex's final year partnering Carrick.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Pochettino doesn't like classic midfield destroyers, which is why he got rid of Sandro. He likes more rounded ball playing DMs which is why he liked Schneiderlin. Stambouli is probably going to be one of your main CMs. I think Fazio is a center back.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
What do you think happens when Benteke comes back in regards to Weiman (sp) & Gabby? Weiman has been playing well so far when he isn't kicking the ball away getting needless yellows and costing my fantasy team points, lol.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Villa play a hybrid 4-3-3/4-5-1 right now. Insert Benteke and Kozak and Weimann go back to the "wing"/forward spot that flanks them.
In short, Weimann should not be affected at all. Gabby will play a spot much more suited for him, though. Gabby is just an awful striker but he's really effective when he is stretching a defense with his pace and then holding up play.Too Old To Game Club
