Re: The Transfer Thread
Not sure you can blame City for those.
Sinclair would have known when he signed what he was getting into, it's not like he was some naive 18 year old when he joined City; he was like 24.
As for Richards, he was just "ruined" by good old fashioned injuries. Anybody who thinks City ruined Richards clearly never watched him play before his injuries started, he was going to be an important part of the team.
Anyways, Delphi would have gotten actual minutes because he's a better option than Fernando, who saw actual minutes himself.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
He was there before the takeover and was even captain at one point. I wonder if he still got that speed he had before all the injuries.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Richards was one of the most promising English defenders in a long while. Not sure about captaincy, pretty sure Zabaleta, Hart and Kompany were all there before the takeoverComment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Hart was there but Zabaleta and Kompany came during takeover as well as Robinho, he used to share the skipper role with Dunne before that.Comment

But if it means United are no longer after Schneiderlin, then that's fine and dandy. But I'm sure they're still in for him, also.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
I'm definitely a little stumped at how excited I've seen some United fans are about the transfer. Listing what he's won during his career, etc. That's great and all, and it's quite a name to sign, but I don't see why there's so much excitement to bring him in.

Now if we actually get Schneiderlin as the long-term successor to Carrick, we would have basically completed the overhaul of the midfield that SAF severely ignored since 2009.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Definitely has the potential of being a huge signing for United. He's still very good and will be a great addition if he is used properly, which you'd have to think LVG will since he was the one who "made" Schweinsteiger to begin with.
His athleticism is only going to come into play if he is poorly paired in the midfield. If he is going to be expected to handle, say, our tandem of bulldogs (Oscar and Willian) by himself, then they will have a bad time.
LVG is pretty pragmatic though, I expect he will know how to use Schweinsteiger and minimize his weaknesses.
Anyways, I'm not too bothered. United, City and Arsenal can sign whoever they want. You ain't stopping this bus.Comment
