Yea but how does that work if the games are played at the same times?

Also on Pogba, Fox Soccer is reporting that he is going to FC Barcelona and Pogba is going to be there in the summer of '16. Fee is around $100 million. Here is another report:
According to Italian Sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport Barcelona has agreed to pay Juventus £64 million for French midfielder Paul Pogba.

Nope, supposedly they're in for William Carvalho instead. Which makes sense, Vidal is a great player but he's getting on now. Carvalho has it all physically to fit right into the league.

Arsenal look a proper threat this season. Spending wisely and well, which is always a dangerous combination.

Basically the opposite of what United have done since Ferguson left.

            Re: The Transfer Thread

I'm sure Juventus isn't interested in selling Vidal.

But hypothetically if they were, and Arsenal really are up for spending a bunch of money like they claim to be; why would they pass on Vidal for Carvalho?

As much as I dislike Vidal's attitude, he's one of the best center mids on the planet. Tested and proven world class player who would likely do fine in the PL because players at that level are usually capable of playing in any league.

Carvalho is pure potential, even Sporting fans will tell you he is still some way off being considered a proven player, even if he is one of their best players.

There's hundreds of young players out there with huge potential that never make it. Real life isn't like fifa and FM where you can just stack your team with 20 year old future stars and rule the world.

TLDR: if Vidal is legitimately available there's not a top team on the planet that wouldn't take him, and Wenger would be the physical embodiment of silliness to pass on a player like that for a 20 year old who might be good soon.

P.S. I absolutely hope Wenger is that dumb, because I do NOT want an Arsenal with Vidal in the midfield. An aggressive, technically brilliant DM that can run all day and score goals too? Yeah eff that, please buy that 20 year old kid.

Yup Arsenal needs that defensive\box to box player in the midfield. Someone imposing.

              Arsenal just need a Matic.

Coquelin did a good enough job last season and there's no sign that he won't continue to do so. Vidal is better but 28 for a player like him is getting on. I saw it first hand with Gerrard, once he got near 30 his legs went. Why halt Coquelin and his fantastic development just to have someone plug the gap for a couple of years?

Personally, I'd get Schneiderlin ahead of Vidal. He's proven in the league. I've never been truly sold on Vidal because he plays in an awful league, which made Balotelli a prolific scorer, Aquilani an imposing midfielder, Premier League rejects like Iago Falque good enough for their best teams.

Balo has been a proven scorer in the EPL with Citeh.

Also Vidal isn't a CDM and won't play over Coq, he'll slot in alongside him. He still has 3-4 high quality years, probably 2 at an elite level. If you can get a player like that on a short term deal you have to IMO

Not sure how you can say there's no sign Coquelin won't continue to develop. Dude came out of nowhere when everybody including his own organization and fans had written him off as another miss.

If anything there's no sign he WILL continue to develop.

Also, Serie A isn't nearly as bad as people who clearly don't watch it think it is. As a matter of fact, if England loses its 4th CL spot, it will be to Serie A.

And Falque plays for Genoa, calling them one of Italy's best teams is like calling Stoke City one of England's best teams.

As for Vidal, after the initial rumor which seemed to have been debunked quickly, it seems it's all nonsense. Juventus have even said they plan to keep Vidal and Pogba.

Roma is basically Tottenham, it's not surprising when they make weird signings.

The only reason newer soccer fans can't tell yet that Roma is the Tottenham of Italy is because the two Milans took an absolutely spectacular and unprecedented nosedive.

With Inter and Milan at full strength, Roma is a Europa League team.

Anyways, like I said, Serie A is not a bad league. It actually isn't too far behind the PL, the styles are just very different so it's hard for newer PL fans to tell because all they see is hard, fast and physical (PL) and think that leagues that don't play that way are automatically worse.

It is crazy how fast Serie A dropped in the last 10 years the league use to attract some of the best players in the world. I think it is still fun to watch but a lot of my favorite players that use to play in the league have retired or move on.

This sport is very cyclical, it wasn't too long ago we had an all-English CL final and around the same time the CL was the Inter and Milan show.

Serie A will come back at some point.

So, Jackson Martinez to Atletico Madrid? I had a feeling the idea of AC Milan picking him up was too good to be true.
