They were linked with Michal Dawson and Ricardo Carvalho a few days ago but I don't feel that's the way forward. Carvalho is 34 and Michael Dawson will spend the majority of his time on the treatment table. I don't understand why Mark Hughes is going after so many midfielders and attackers. He needs a solid pairing in front of Cesar for them to be successful. That should be their priority going into the deadline.

      I definitely agree.

Carvalho's a very good player and once maybe the best of Europe but now he's old and had some injury problems... Dawson's injury prone too...

I really think they should be moving for a good young CB as the deadline approaches too.

Dimitar Berbatov is having a medical at Fulham. Good move by the Cottagers. The guy can still play. It was only 2 years ago he was the leading scorer in the Premier League.

Yeah I think it's a great move too, now that they've lost Andy Johnson, Berbatov is just the man to replace him. Great move, great move...

Tottenham to splash in the deadline.
Reportedly interested in Moutinho, M'Vila and Willian. Lloris and Leandro Damiao are also options.

They should splash out on a new manager while they are at it. AVB will not last. They should have stuck with Harry.

Glad Berbatov is finally moving. I've got nothing but respect for him (though I still dislike his outrageous transfer fee back then). Not once did he complain about his role in the team, never talked **** and by and large was a team player through and through. It's really just too bad he couldn't fit in with the kind of team SAF is building.

                        Good luck, Berbasmooth!

This is a good move, they need a player like him.

Andy Carroll to Newcastle??? Is this officially happening???

edit: Apparently, it is West Ham. Rodgers confirmed that Carroll was en route for a medical prior to match with Hearts tonight.
