At Sao Paulo he was lighting it up. And from what I heard he lost a lot of weight and has promised to return to his top form. If that's the case, I don't know how much stronger Inter can get. Lampard might even end up there.

Late to the party, but signing Nasri is a great move. He's a creative player and still has a lot of room to grow. Unlike Hleb (who I never liked), Nasri wants to be here from Day 1.

I'm not keen on selling Adebayor, but if we have to go through this transfer garbage with him every off-season, get rid of him now. His value is sky high after his great year and its time to be getting pieces that will be here for years to come.

Paper talk According to Televisio de Catalunya, Barcelona are ready to accept Manchester City's £25.5million bid for Ronaldinho and have given Milan 48 hours to match that offer. Milan were thought to be the Brazilian's preferred choice for his next club, but City are still in the hunt for his signature.

15.12 Neil Warnock says Birmingham City have entered the hunt to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Ben Watson. Queens Park Rangers have also shown an interest in Watson, who has refused to sign a new contract at Palace.

15.29 Le Mans defender Marko Basa says he would 'welcome the opportunity' to join Celtic. The Serbian has previously been wanted by Borussia Dortmund and is hoping Le Mans' demands do not scupper a move.

16.15 Flamengo have struck a deal to take Ronaldo back to Brazil. The club's president Marcio Braga has confirmed an agreement is in place for the 31-year-old.

16.42 West Ham starlet Freddie Sears is confident he can save Alan Curbishley a fortune. With Bobby Zamora likely to seal a move to Fulham next week, Sears believes he's the man to step into his shoes - rather than a new signing.

21.03 Norwich City have shown an interest in Dejan Stefanovic, at least according to his agent. The experienced stopper is eager to quit Craven Cottage as he is well down Fulham's pecking order.

22.11 Portugal's physio has confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo will be sidelined for 'at least' the next three months. What affect might this have on his proposed switch to Real Madrid?

22.50 Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has echoed a view shared by the rest of the world that does not include Sepp Blatter, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Barry and Frank Lampard, by declaring his stance on players' contracts. In short, if you sign a deal as a fully functioning adult then you should stick by it.
