What are Chelsea even doing with Pulusic?

They need attacking help, yet they sub him in at right back.

He's not proven to be durable... so why put him in a role that demands multi dimensional physicality?

He needs to force a move in the worst way.

I think yesterday it was down to a lack of options there + the fact that Soto just sat deep so he basically was a winger with instructions to hug the touch line and drive at people BUT

He’s sucked a** for the last 6 months and looks like the injuries have robbed him of all his pace/burst.

Sucks for us that are also fans of the USMNT but luckily Aaronsen looks good for Leeds.

Tbh Tuchel needs to figure out what to do with the attack.

I'm not calling for his head or anything, but we have looked pretty bad offensively for much longer than this season, and now half our best players are being played out of position constantly. Even the injuries/departures etc. isn't really an excuse for playing Kai as a 9 every game.

Pulisic hasn't looked his best but he also hasn't played any of his natural positions in months.

Honestly I could see Tuchel being gone at the end of the season if we keep having the same issues.

We’ve done our fair share of ruining football, but this is the first time I can really remember where it doesn’t seem like we have any plan whatsoever.

Even when we spent big in the past, barring the occasional Torres, we always had a plan.

              Re: The Transfer Thread

I don’t think most clubs have solid plans. They are obviously players that you target

              Halaand - City
              Bellingham - Liverpool

But things happen which require you to adapt on the fly. For us, Cucarella falls into that. I think we all penciled him in for City and then it fell apart so we pounced. Liverpool wouldn’t have targeted Arthur had their midfielders stayed healthy these first few weeks. Ish happens…you adapt.

I don’t think we historically had a plan under Roman…it was just buy buy buy which got us to the situation we’re in now where our squad is the composition of 4-5 different managers and players don’t fit into a system.

I look at United…they ignored the DM position for so long but then Casameiro fell into their lap and they pounced.

Arsenal will probably sign the midfield depth they need because Elneny is out along with Partey.

City signed Akanji because Stones, Dias, and Ale are prone to picking up injuries.

That’s the only area where I fault big clubs. For us, Liverpool, and Arsenal… we know we have injury prone midfielders. We all should have acted a while ago but we didn’t for whatever reasons and now we’re forced to make last minute moves on riskier options.

Sambi isn’t ready as well, and who knows if he’s even Arsenal quality.

Yeah, I read they are considering Andy Carroll as an alternative.

Looks like Liverpool are in advanced talks with Cody Gakpo. Would be a great addition with Diaz and Jota continually banged up.

EDIT: Sky reports that PSV have confirmed the sale to Liverpool!
