Re: The Transfer Thread
One team I thought had a pretty good window is West Brom.
- Kept hold of their captain Jonny Evans
- Replaced outgoing skipper Darren Fletcher with Gareth Barry
- Jay Rodriguez already amongst the goals.
- Ahmed Hegazi solid defender already amongst the goals.
- Kieran Gibbs. An actual left back so they don't have to play Chris Brunt or RB Nyom out of position.
- Young Scottish winger Oliver Burke looks very promising.
- And they just added Polish international Grzegorz Krychowiak on loan from PSG.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Personally I think Mark Noble has been on the decline for a while now. He's a red card waiting to happen. On a few occasions he's been lucky not to have seen red with his wreckless challenges. I know he's a local lad and sentiment is involved, but I think it's time for an upgrade in their midfield.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Lol, I don't believe for a second that Ross Barkley talks like that, or knows what the word contrary means.
Owner himself said he did a medical. Ross is trying to save face because he failed his medical, and I suspect it's slightly worse than previously suggested, and he doesn't want to jeopardize a possible move to Spurs by having it come out that he failed his medical.
Chelsea won't say anything because we don't care enough, and we also tend to have good relationships with players in general so probably agreed to do him a solid and not go public with the failed medical.
Really sucks for Everton though, Barkley just cost them a TON of money.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Barcelona have claimed that Liverpool were prepared to sell Philippe Coutinho on Spain’s transfer deadline day for €200m (£183m), having previously firmly denied that they would contemplate selling the Brazil midfielder in this summer’s window.

Re: The Transfer Thread
Last night they also posted a story based on "Spanish sources" that Liverpool had opened the door to new negotiations with Barca over Coutinho.
They will repost literally anything.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
So, Steven Caulker left QPR by mutual consent. Four years from his first cap for England, his spiral downwards has been a sad tale. Hope he lands somewhere and is able to re-establish himself.Support Local Sports
