Re: The Transfer Thread
Now apparently even Matt Law is saying we are trying for Llorente again?
Honestly this whole Arsenal/Chelsea/Dortmund mess is getting stranger by the hour.
Either that, or Chelsea is all done with Llorente/Giroud/Dzeko, and genuinely just trying to sabotage Arsenal's move for Auba.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Yeah, 57 for Laporte is quite the fee, wonder if he'll play well enough to earn a France call-up at City
Bilbao ransacked Sociedad for Inigo Martinez to replace Laporte
Auba is apparently in London for a medical, but terms haven't been finalized?
Giroud to Chelsea appears to thankfully have been a smoke screen.
Apparently West Brom are leading the race to sign Andre Schurrle on loan
Nicklas Rojkjaer completes move to Viborg FF
Lucas Moura is set to sign for Spurs apparently for 25m, but anything less than 30 is great business for Spurs
With the way Manchester City complete business, I'd be surprised if Fred isn't complete by the deadline.
Also if you haven't seen the story of Peterbrough's owner begging striker Ricky Miller to leave - http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/42864417Support Local Sports

Re: The Transfer Thread
Apparently City is now going after Mahrez, ugh.
He’s the type of player we’ve needed to compliment Hazard for years, I’ll definitely be upset if City get him when we could have signed him the last 3 transfer windows.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Conte doesn't like Michy and wants him gone. Conte wants a big tall guy we can hoof the ball to. Giroud is a big tall guy we can hoof the ball to.
Arsenal want Auba. Dortmund want a replacement for Auba. Michy is a replacement for Auba.
Giroud doesn't want to be third choice striker, and doesn't want to leave London. At Chelsea he would be second choice striker. Chelsea is in London.
Think that should cover everything.Comment

Arsenal are letting Oliver go to a rival for far too less money.
Dortmund are stupid for letting the only good thing going for the club this season in January. And trying to replace him with a loan player who isn't as good. Basically giving up on the season.
Again, none is this makes any sense to me.

Re: The Transfer Thread
Conte is claiming he doesn't want bats to go out on loan. You are not fixing your problem of only having two strikers. He is looking to bring someone in so you have three and there isn't a massive work load on Morata. So this move makes no sense.

Auba’s been suspended like 2 or 3 times already this year for insubordination. They’re ready to cut ties and he wants out/a big pay day. Arsenal gets a player who can make runs behind the back line and stretch it allowing more space for Ozil & Lacazette.
Michy wants minutes ahead of the WC to justify his selection. He’s not a good fit for Comte’s system and was brought in before we hired Conte.
Dzeko’s deal to transfer fell through partly because his wife didn’t want to uproot their family from Rome. Giroud is in a similar situation. We’re not going to carry 3 out & out strikers and Giroud won’t come here unless Michy is gone.
It makes perfect sense to me. Arsenal makes out pretty well in this scenario.
From Lacazette/Ozil/Alexis to
Lacazette/Ozil/Mikh/PEA all for ~40 mil net after the Walcott deal.
