Of course no guarantee he can reach his potential, especially after stagnating, but not jumping at a 25m price for a 22 year old that could end up being the best fullback in the world.

Arsenal's backroom is more of a clown fiesta than Chelsea's, which is saying something.
It's more to do with the structure of the deal. Celtic want £25m, we finally hit that number, but they want more upfront, fewer bonuses, etc. Also, apparently their negotiator is known to drag things out—no idea if that's true, but they know they can drag it out.

In terms of our backroom doing these deals, I'm giving them a few windows to prove themselves. Could we throw the entire £25m at Celtic now? Yes, but that limits what else we can do this window.

The most Arsenal thing ever is only having £45m to spend this window because our owner refuses to put money into the club—he only removes it. Also, the club allowed commercial revenue to continue to slip while Gazidis was at the club. Yes, we make money, but we've been making less recently.

I think it's far too easy to see what's happening this window with Arsenal and say it's the same as always. We finally seem to have an actual plan, but the issue is we're financially restricted in a time when we should not be—but we are.

The thing to remember when an Arsenal supporter says that we can't spend as much money as other clubs—we're not saying we literally can not, we're saying we know that we will not due to our owner and the lack of ambitions of that owner. We know the club should have more than £45m to spend this window, but the reality is that it's all we have to spend this window.

My point is that it's too early to judge Raul (DoF) and Edu (Technical Director) as of right now because they're trying to have the best window possible with what they're being given. It's not too early to judge our ownership—which is ****.

I still think land Tierney and Saliba (although he doesn't' arrive until 2020).

I would take £20m for Trippier, he is not worth much more but the chance to get rid of him quick is good. I think people rate him higher because of the World Cup but he's really not good at all at defending.

Selling him now and having time to find a replacement is the best move.

        Apparently it's £21.7m for Trippier.

I knew £20m was too low.

Spurs could have gotten double that if they had shopped him out last year. The World Cup always does wonders for dudes getting ridiculously expensive moves.

British players are really branching out now. What do we have now? Rooney in DC, Bale and Trippier in Madrid, Sancho in Dortmund. I’m sure there are more but it seemed like there were hardly any until Bale moved over.

Saliba being a little troll and "liking" a post about Spurs new kit. I think he goes to Arsenal still but it's funny he would do that just to mess with people. Unless he really is going to switch to the good side at the very last minute...

What's going on with Dani Ceballos?

Is he really debating Spurs vs Arsenal?

Arsenal want a loan, Spurs want to buy, Madrid want to loan.

I don't think it's a Ceballos issue as much as it is a transfer type issue.

And if there's a club who is very much in the market for loans right now, it's Arsenal.

I mean... Is it much of a debate at this current moment? [emoji2]

I think he would prefer UCL but the choice isn't his, Madrid will have to make the final decision most likely.

Saliba to Arsenal in 20/21 and Ceballos on loan for 19/20 has been confirmed by David Ornstein.

                          This pleases me.

Just about had a heart attack when I saw Villa signed Trezeguet today.

Thankfully, no, they didn't sign David.

What if I told you the Griezmann saga wasn't over...

Apparently La Liga are investigating Barcelona's contact with Griezmann, and we could see a bigger fee or the cancelling of the transfer if it goes in Atletico's favor.

I can't imagine Griezmann would pull on an Atletico kit after all of this though.
