Wayne Rooney's mystery virus has generated speculation that Manchester United will move for Dmitar Berbatov. Apparently Rooney will not be fit for the start of the season. Ronaldo (inj), Nani (susp) and Anderson (Olympics) are also out at the start, leaving SAF with few options up front. At the very least, this could scuttle Saha's rumored sale to Sunderland and perhaps give Frazier Campbell a chance to impress...

As for the nature of Rooney's sickness that he contracted in Africa? The team will only say that it is not malaria. Hmmm, that does leave the ebola virus. No wait, Wayne would have already sold pictures of himself bleeding from the eyes to the tabloids... How 'bout the clap?
