The deal was probably just speculation cos the same site is reporting that Laurent Robert is about to sign with Bolton Wanderers for 3 years.

Elsewhere, Stuttgart striker Kevin Kuranyi has signed for UEFA CL qualifiers Schalke 04, along with Bremen midfielder Fabian Ernst.

Man City has said a few times that SWP's going to stay...they do need money, but I'm not sure they'd take this deal

also, Jon Macken signed with Palace (if I remember right)...he had no place on the Man City first team, and went with Palace where he'd have a lot of playing time since they were just relegated.

I really hope so, I'd hate to see Wright-Phillips leave, that kid is amazing...

                Newcastle interested in Inter's Emre

Could be the move that ships Lee Bowyer out of Tyneside...

Well, Newcastle may find it a little tougher than they thought to move Lee Bowyer..

                  Birmingham fans don't want him!

Valencia are keen to acquire Luis Figo on a free transfer, and would offer him a €6 million salary.

Real Madrid's Guti is reportedly sick of being the "eternal substitute" and is seeking a move to England - Liverpool and Arsenal are keen on him.

                            Re: The Transfer Thread

Chelsea have made an astonishing £57 million world record bid to land AC Milan superstar Andriy Shevchenko -- and were last night told it's not enough. The Premiership champions offered AC Milan £48.9m plus Hernan Crespo in a determined effort to bring the 29-year-old Ukrainian to Stamford Bridge. With Crespo valued at around £8m, it would have smashed the current record, the £46.5m Real Madrid paid Juventus for Zinedine Zidane four years ago.
                            -- The Daily Mirror

If Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich believed his stunning offer would tempt Milan, he was shown to be wrong last night as the Italian giants rebuffed the bid. Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said: "Chelsea have asked us for Shevchenko but we have told them 'No'. Sheva is not for sale. He is unsellable."

Arsenal is targeting Hleb and Robinho. Can someone give me a scouting report on either.

Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.
