also, Jon Macken signed with Palace (if I remember right)...he had no place on the Man City first team, and went with Palace where he'd have a lot of playing time since they were just relegated.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Chelsea have made an astonishing £57 million world record bid to land AC Milan superstar Andriy Shevchenko -- and were last night told it's not enough. The Premiership champions offered AC Milan £48.9m plus Hernan Crespo in a determined effort to bring the 29-year-old Ukrainian to Stamford Bridge. With Crespo valued at around £8m, it would have smashed the current record, the £46.5m Real Madrid paid Juventus for Zinedine Zidane four years ago.
-- The Daily Mirror
If Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich believed his stunning offer would tempt Milan, he was shown to be wrong last night as the Italian giants rebuffed the bid. Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said: "Chelsea have asked us for Shevchenko but we have told them 'No'. Sheva is not for sale. He is unsellable."
