GM Jacques Martin has been fired and has been replaced by little known coach hoasdf, After a disappointing season last year after such high hopes were set, asdfhad this to say:
" In order for this team do some some post season damage we need to build around some of our young talent (Nathan Horton, Jay Bouwmeester, Michael Frolik, David Booth, and newly acquired defensemen Keith Ballard)","We also need to work on our Offense,by getting stronger up front and shoot ALOT more, our Goalie position is being filled in great by Thomas Vokoun, and finally our defense won't need any help as it is talented enough as it is,Thank you and have a good day"

Free Agent Signings:
Sergei Brylin:3 year, 1 way,and i don't remember the salary: Brings experience and depth to a young team

Brett Maclean: 2 yr. $0.775M 1 way, A young player that with some minor league seasoning can become a full time NHLer

Florida "Thrashed"
The Panthers got destroyed today by Southeast division rivals the Atlanta Thrashers. Coach Peter DeBoer had this to say: "Today we played HORRIBLE how does a team win by 2/8 in their power plays? NO ONE I TELL YOU!" He then stormed out of the Press Conference furious. Goalie Tomas Voukon also had this to say: " I really let down the team by allowing 7 goals, I don't know what happened I guess the they [Thrashers] just had my number".
None of this game was Vokoun's fault the Panthers Defense allowed 45 SHOTS!!! The were lucky it wasn't a blowout also GM stated that if this continues there may be some "changes" occurring....
