who scored the first goal in an Anchorage uniform?

If you said Kurt Sauer, give yourself a pat on the back. Sauer slipped a slap shot from the point past Jonathan Quick in the 2nd period of a 4-3 season opening win over the Los Angeles Kings.

Petr Prucha's empty net goal turned out to be the game-winner as the Kings would score to make it 4-3 after the Wolverines had made it, 4-2 just before the Kings final goal in the waning moments of the game.

Doan and Vandermeer added goals for the Wolverines, who outshot the Kings 30-24 on the night.
