Coach Sheldon Keefe announces Game 7 Preseason Lineup.

The last game of the preseason is a chance to make tweaks. To that end, backup goaltender Anton Khduobin gets the start. He will also get a start to start the season, likely against New Jersey, with Frederik Andersen starting the Season Home Opener. This will be the lineup used in the regular season

Without further ado, the lineup:

Nylander-Tavares-Marner
Sheary-Matthews-Hyman
Kapanen-Kerfoot-Mikheyev
Gauthier-Boyle-Haas

Reilly-Hamonic
Dermott-Byfuglien
Phaneuf-Holl

Starter: Khduobin
Backup: Andersen

Scratches: Salomaki, Ceci, Campbell

Dubas reinforces AHL Marlies

General Manager Kyle Dubas has added 5 forwards and 1 goalie, all of whom will play in the AHL.

Centers Nico Sturm & Greg McKegg, Left Wing Mackenzie MacEachern and Right Wing Joe Blandisi have been joined by veteran goaltender Viktor Tasty. He was added to give Mike Smith someone who could play sparingly so he could break or injury. The alternative of using Joseph Woll was not appealing to coach Keefe or GM Dubas

With that in mind, the coach of the Marlies has released its Season Home Opener Roster.

Dominic Moore has been named Team Captain while Luke Schenn & Scott Sabourin will serve as alternates20200802_172755.jpeg20200802_172805.jpeg20200802_172738.jpeg

CECI GETS CUT

Leafs Nation finally gets their wish and sees the departure of Cody Ceci, and got a surprisingly decent return.

Finding a partner in the New York Islanders, the Leafs receive the 2020 3rd Round Pick and Defenseman Jordan Schmaltz. Schmaltz gives the Leafs a different 7th defenseman to choose from.

The bottom pairing may be in constant flux this year, with Jordan Schmaltz, Dion Phaneuf and Justin Holl competing for two spots

COACH KEEFE RELEASES REGULAR SEASON LINEUP

Ahead of the season opener against the Tampa Bay Lightning, head coach Sheldon Keefe has released the regular season lineup.

Notable addition is new backup goaltender Anton Khduobin. He will hopefully give the Leafs an edge in back to backs. He may be called upon in Game 2, as Games 1 & 2 are back to back.

Additionally Connor Sheary takes Left Wing on line 2 with Matthews & Kapanen.

P.S. I apologize for my phone's quality. If anyone's got tips on how to add photos here via mobile without that happening, by all means share! Please!20200810_120252.jpeg20200810_120301.jpeg20200810_120311.jpeg20200810_120332.jpeg
