Cpu abusing cross and slants......again.

Ok so I'm playing all madden. And Ive noticed since the patch dropped the cpu seems to be abusing the cross and slant patterns again just like madden 15. Out of the box the game played perfect, cpu would throw a lot of toss up plays and it was really fun. Now I feel like the cpu is back to just throwing short passes and maybe once a game I'll have to use my DB to knock down a pass. Seems kinda like a waste considering this years game was revolved around WR and DB interaction. I'm thinking this may also be tied into confidence. As the season goes along and players gain more confidence they are almost unstoppable on cross routes. Does anyone have a slider fix for this. It's ruining the game.
