How to get a realistic amount of sacks

I’ve been having a tough time getting a realistic amount of sacks. In my last Franchise, I got too many... this time, it’s too little. Through five games, Khalil Mack has 0.5 sacks.

What slider adjustments would help this? Pass Protection doesn’t seem to do very much, at least on All-Madden.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Ugh, I apologize for forgetting the question mark in the title.

Re: How to get a realistic amount of sacks

I have passblock set to 45 which was enough to get realistic numbers. I think it comes down to a lot of different factors though.

Try switching up the playcalling a bit. If you can get the qb to hesistate a bit that adds up over time. Also, if there is absolutely 0 pressure through the first half, I usually try coaching adjustments for second half (unless it is already an easy win / defensive pwnage).

Coverage adjustments can help with this too. Keep getting beat on the inside? Start playing that way and force the qb outside. That buys a little extra time (though you might get burned if you can't get there and someone gets open).

I have had good luck with free agent signings as well. Focus on your teams weaknesses and not just OVR. Playing with the Pats, I have van noy as a third string now in favor of other LBs with better zone cvg as I was calling a lot of plays putting that position in zone. I saw immediate improvement of defense as more underneath plays were covered and then also led to more sacks.

Hope this helps! AM is though but fairer than its ever been, with minimal slider adjustments, IMO.
