What's frustrating is that it's a regression.

Last year they eventually fixed it to where if you were managing it correctly (full pads to your bye, use the bye to reset, half pads after, and keep an eye on who was getting the reps), it was usable. You'd have some guys (mostly older guys) carrying some fatigue into the playoffs, but not so much the backups ended up starting.

If you're doing all those things but still having issues, that means they regressed back to an earlier base version that didn't have the later fixes in place, or somehow otherwise let that bug back into the current version.

Either is just sloppy. It happens, but it's sloppy.

Right. I can manage mine. I like the concept and extra challenge. My issues are with the CPU. Nothing worse then investing all the time to reach the last couple of weeks/playoffs and I’m blowing out the cpu and/or their star players are not playing because they’ve mismanaged their fatigue throughout the season. I’ve kept it off just to be safe.

I never do full pad practice due to risk of injury and I never run into that problem

Yep. Start practicing with half pads. Players will stay fresh.

Unfortunately, Progressive Fatigue seems to greatly effect the player's team more and more the later in the season you go, but not effect the CPU at all. Basically, its a handicap if you choose to turn it on.

I've decided to leave it off until they make it even across the board.

Re: Backups playing in playoffs

I'm not certain but I don't think having progressive fatigue ON effects the cpu. The cpu isn't starting backups in the playoffs.

Progressive Fatigue only seems to effect the HUM player. Just by using 1/2 pads and trying to get the backups in for practice time the last half the season is about all you would need to do to keep your starters fresh late in the season.
Was it not this way last year? And I don't think the real NFL is hitting hard in full pads during the late season anyways... It takes nearly all week to recoup from the last game's physical toll. These guys aren't practicing in real life in full pads late in the season.

It does appear that you need to go thru this process (literally takes 2 minutes) to be able to utilize Progressive Fatigue.

If you're not into the tedious little adjustments, you can always just turn it off. That's a good option for players that just want to play ball and not spend time tweaking ... I get it.

I'm willing, even eager, to spend as much time as is necessary to make it work if it effects the CPU too. Especially if there's varience in it, and some CPU teams handle if better/differently than others. But if its just the user, then no thanks.

Same. I always do split reps, and once my team fatigue reaches 90%, I switch to half-pads the rest of the year. No issues for my team.
