I think it has to do with the thought that Madden has WAAAAYYY less content than other games. I mean NBA 2k14 has post game interviews and Madden can't even do a halftime show.

EA just wants your money..that's it! This company lies like a rug. The things they implemented into NG should had been in CG yrs. ago. This company has no integrity or character, it's just for pure profit. I am done allowing EA to play me for a fool.

There seems to be a severe lack of understanding of software architecture in this thread. The notion that install size = quality of or effort put in to game is mind boggling. I don't even know where to begin.

I have low hopes for Next Gen Madden, and am not even buying it on launch, but the notion it won't be good or there was a lack of effort because of raw install size? Ridiculous. If it's a poor game, it will be because it's a poorly conceived and/or executed piece of software.

I think the issue that certain people are having is that apparently the devs themselves said that last gen the limited amount of disk space was holding them back and now that they have the extra space they aren't taking advantage.

I think you are probably right. I did some checking on the sizes on the back of some of the games listed on the first page and they are wrong

NBA2k14 is 50 GB not 43
Killzone is 47 GB not 37
COD Ghosts is 45 GB not 39

Im pretty sure these game sizes came from screen shots from within Xbox Live due to that guy getting his Box early through Targets screw up. They are accurate.

pretty sure they were citing ram as the issue, not disk space. 512mb to 5-8gb is a pretty massive leap.

the problem is that most people dont understand basic programming. like bkrich83 said, disk space does not equal quality.
