Lots of good options, just depends on what team has key guys that you like and want to rebuild around. I would say Raiders, Jags, Titans, and Browns are usually the top choices

Re: Teams to Rebuild

If you want a total rebuild then pack your bags for Jacksonville. Perennial top 5 pick cant seem to make anything count. Playing realistically you should be able to challenge Indy for the AFC South Crown in a year(if you draft great) or 2. If you want an NFC Rebuild then head to NY as the Giants are in dire need of a firm hand. With nothing left of the SB Champs but a sketchy shadow of a QB formerly known as Eli who has a slapshot OL and 1 guy who can stay healthy to throw too. On D its a bigger question mark. Look to be a top 10 pick team for a few years before you finally break that playoff barrier.
Other top choices
Raiders- got your centerpiece on O and D. Up Carrs injury or his speed is useless. Clean out those old contracts and start from scratch. No pressure to win now as you wont see the playoffs till Manning and Rivers retire.
NFC South- the whole division finished under .500. cant go wrong. start somewhere and blow it up. Bucs need a QB. D is nice if you can find a ball hawk saftey. Saints.... Brees is killing your cap and regresses to a 3rd string highschool quarterback after year 1. Panthers. All the peices are there. get some pass catchers and make it happen. Failcons- the name says it all.
Browns- Now in Madden Johnny is solid and Gordon plays. Not to bad of a rebuild as that D is playoff ready. Get some OL and dont be afraid to throw to Taylor Gabriel. Ratings are solid even for a low OVR.

The key to your rebuild is hitting on year 1 FA. Do your homework and spread the wealth. Big name FA are nice but why spend a ton on 1 superstar when you can turn his money into 4 starters. Be smart. Do your scouting. First upgrade i suggest for your coach is that you buy the Bonus Scouting perk. makes life easier.
If you do Coach Mode go anywhere
If you do Owner Mode... Go to NY. Even if you go 0-16 you still make money.

If this is your first rebuild go Coach Mode.

Re: Teams to Rebuild

If you want a challenge then go Owner mode with Jacksonville. Draft as realistic as possible. Cut your dead weight and watch your funds when/if you sign FA's.

In my 3rd year, I'm almost a playoff team. But I went 4-12 my first year, 2-14 my 2nd year, and 3rd year i'm 9-7. Started winning games but wasn't quite there.

Jacksonville is TOUGH to play as OWNER mode. If you don't watch your funds, you'll go broke and won't be able to sign players. Coach mode is very easy and is nothing like owner mode.

With Jacksonville, it's not like other teams where you have "some pieces" in place to build upon. Nope, with Jax you have to practically rebuild the entire team. Your entire OL sucks. Your WR (except Blackmon) suck. Your RB's are mediocre. Your DL is below average and your entire secondary blows badly.

The only good players on your team are:

ROLB - Telvin Smith
MLB - Paul Posluszny

That's it. Oh your Fullback is above average but nothing incredibly special.

And Bortles is horrible at first, and you have to develop him. Not just play him, you need to DEVELOP him using the XP Game Prep. Get him to SuperStar and then start dumping points into him. He will come around.

The good news is Paul Posluszny will get you 150+ tackles a year. In fact, he led the lead in tackles two years in a row for me. I sim every regular season game except week 1 and week 4. The rest are simmed. Makes it more realistic stats wise and the seasons go by faster. If I make the playoffs, I sim them except the Super Bowl. I'll play that.

Good luck

Why would you waste 30k exp to get Bortles to Star development? That 30k would make a huge difference off the top.

It all balances out. I still get Bortles to 99 by the end of his 2nd year by upgrading him to SuperStar in his first. Getting players to 99 is too easy to begin with anyway so it really doesn't matter.

He also gets way more xp as a SuperStar than Normal in the long run which can upgrade his traits pretty easily as well.

Re: Teams to Rebuild

do the math on the difference in Game Plan XP from average to star (about 500). Then divide that from 30k.... 60 times. You need to game plan him more than 60 times to break even, let alone get more xp, lol. not worth it.

If you plan for him to be your long term starter it does. Development means he gets more XP for everything (game play, game prep, hitting goals, awards). It also makes upgrades cheaper. It took me a little while to get his dev up to Superstar (was also adding to accuracies to some extent), but over the 7 year period he's averaging over 75k XP.

That's led to 99 THP, SAC, MAC, DAC, ELU... Studly
