Relocation?

Does the CPU ever relocate? I have never seen it before. Just wondering if they do and if so how often?

Re: Relocation?

Buffalo Bills relocated in my CFM and became the Toronto Thunderbird's. Think Oakland are also about to move.

Re: Relocation?

As long as your cfm was set up to allow non-users to relocate, yes it does happen.

It's rare though, as it should be. Relocation is a massive and rare undertaking. In M25, you'd typically see 2-3 teams relocate right away (as opposed to building a new stadium), so EA tuned it down.

I find it amusing that the OS icon for NAU is 20 years (and three rebrands!) out of date.

I can remember once in Madden 25 I simed through 3 season just to see what happened and 7 teams had relocated. Some were teams like Green Bay and Chicago which is about as far fetched as possible.

Re: Relocation?

On the topic of relocation, do I need to have a certain amount of available funds on hand before I can relocate and build a stadium in my new location?

No its based on your stadium's ratings I believe. Although it would be smart to have a decent amount of funds to build from so you can absorb the hit you take when relocating. Remember you're going to start making stadium payments after you move, so if you move to a smaller market you need to be ready for that.

Is there a breakdown somewhere of what the payments are and can I operate in the red or will my franchise end if I go in the red?

I'm not exactly floating in cash with the Rams in the first year of my franchise.
