What feature [big or small] is the most overdue?

For me its not gameplay related. But my gosh why isn't it in the game yet?

It was in the ps2 editions.
It will help with franchise mode immersion.
It is seemingly easy to implement.

A 'score's from around the league' ticker during gameplay.

Come on EA. Have an intern take a 45 minute lunch on friday instead of an hour and get this in 16.

For me, it's fumbled snaps, under center, punts/field goals etc.

I understand that this is the type of thing that no matter how arbitrarily it happens, people will assume the CPU is cheating them, but at this point, it's a necessity, fumbled snaps are a HUGE part of football. This could be tied to the Center/QB's/Punter/Holder's Awareness rating so that the rating matters.

Hell, perhaps it'd even introduce the need for a long snapper in game! *gasp*

But yeah, this is something I've been asking for since before the turn of the millenium and it's long overdue.

The one for me is long long long overdue.......... as in it has never been in Madden.

SHOWING DEFENSIVE PLAYERS NAMES IN COACH CAM!!!!

I think it's about time we knew who the defensive personnel was on the field in Madden. There are a whole plethora of situations where it would be beneficial to see the defensive players names. I think every other football game I've played since PS1 has had this in it, but Madden has never had it in. This is waaaaaaay overdue.

I might be in the minority but liked the weekly wrap up they had in 10 and 11.

BIG feature: Being a defensive guy, it's the defensive assignments. Swapping cornerbacks is not the same, especially when you don't even know which side the fastest or tallest WR is on to start with lol. I need to be able to match speed with speed, height with height or MCV with Route Run

I know it would kind of be a steep learning curve, but it could be an optional feature like the vision cone: realistic substitution management.

Quickly after the whistle, select a default or custom package of skill positions to send to th e huddle. An interface shows the other user who is entering the playing field as the players run on and off the field. This could be done individually as well. Its a huge strategic aspect thats been neglected, and it's something coaches need to know. Telling us the number of WRs, RBs and TEs has been fine for awhile, but as someone else in this thread said, the names of defensive players have never been listed in coach cam. Knowing who an opponent is using and what packages he runs when faced with your personnell changes is a must.

Also, a late substitution would add the never before seen 12 men on the field penalty.
