mature remote play discussion PS4 vs xbox one

I have been a diehard PS4 guy for my sports games....and one of the main reasons was the VIta remote play feature where I could finish games or seasons while laying in bed or even on my back porch in the fresh air. Obviously the Vita is less than ideal since it is small and is missing buttons but it was all there was.

Enter the Xbox One streaming to windows 10. I tested this with an Asus 10" tablet and an xbox 360 controller and it was divine....worked great. However I still prefer the PS4 controller and the overall feel of the PS4. Still....I find myself on the fence now regarding whether I should get the PS4 Madden of the Xbox One Madden.

Has anyone else played around with this feature and does the new feature of Xbox one sway you toward that version now? Again....this question is for remote play...not for a Ps4/xbox one fanboy battle. I never considered the Xbox version of sports games in the past because the remote play feature was always a deciding factor for the PS4.

I can't be the only one out there that utilizes this feature regularly....

Mature responses only please. Not trying to have a brand battle.

you could buy this to use a PS4 controller on the Xbox One.

IF the windows 10 cross play is the most important to you, use the Xbox One. If the Vita cross play is....use the PS4.

Simple.

I will stick to my Vita, because I love it and I know how it works. The Vita is a fine little piece of machinery, and I always welcome the chance to use it!

Re: mature remote play discussion PS4 vs xbox one

I'm a regular Vita to PS4 remote player, but the XBOX to Windows 10 streaming sounds awesome, because of its hardware versatility. My biggest gripe with the vita is not the controls, but the screen size. You can do the same thing, though, with a Z series tablet, but you're talking a decent-sized purchase. With Windows 10, you can slap that on a cheap laptop and it will work pretty well. Seems pretty much apples to apples to me. I love the Vita for what it is, it's portability, functionality, and price. IMO, there should be apps for both XBOX and PS4 for ipad. Most people have one of those too.

You can use vita as a second screen but use a ps4 controller to actually play on it. So you won't be missing any buttons or have to use the touch screen for r2 or l2

I never tried it but I will! Thanks for the tip!

Also forgot to mention Vita TV. Lately they've been giving them away with a ps4 purchase. Just plug it into an hdmi tv/monitor and you have another streaming ps4 for free.

Not sure how to post links but this a decent tutorial on how to do it. They actually have a clip that goes on the ds4 that hold the vita so it's like one big handheld.
