How do you guys do your formation subs for the cpu?

Seeing as most of them don't even save and are arbitrarily flipped by default I rarely bother with them

If we're talking CFM you will ''likely'' (99.9%) need to sign in as a user (Online CFM) and create it for that team, and you will have to stay on as that team to have them saved as they apply to the user profile/GT.

You'll have to repeat this for any other teams as well, also formation subs could also be manipulated by depth chart adjustments, but again, you'll need to sign is as an additional profile to do so.

Hope that helps, if there's a less cumbersome way I am unfortunately unaware.

Yes and no. You can't use a custom playbook and choose that as your coach's playbook, which is ultimately the playbook used for formation subs. However, if there are formations in your custom playbook common to your coach's playbook, the edits you make to these formations will be reflected in your in-game formations when you are using a custom book.

So if you havent made your custom book already, i would recommend starting with a default madden playbook and editing, realizing that any new formations you add will not be compatible with formation subs. If you've already made it and dont want to change it, you'll have to go out and find a default playbook with as many formations similar to your custom book that you can find...
