How does the gameplan feature work for a bye week?

I just got to the Bears bye week and they gave me a chance to gameplan for my next opponent (the bucs). Then the next week I was able to gameplan again. When I actually got into the game they only showed my most recent gameplan for offense and defense. I'm thinking I should have 2 for offense and 2 for defense. At least that's how it should work.
