Legends Free Agency Question

So I noticed TO was playing on the Cowboys in the Madden trailer with the current team. So it raises the question, are we able to release players from the legends team, put them in free agency and add them to any of the 32 teams? I know we were able to do this in Madden 09.

Has anyone tried it or knows if it's possible? Would be kinda cool to put Moss or TO on a team, adjust their ratings lower and attempt to give them one final push.

I suppose I wouldn't rule out being able to release legends to the free agent pool again, but given the series' recent history it's far more likely the render was either staged using a dev kit or captured from Ultimate Team gameplay.

I tweeted Shooter about this, he said the legend and elite play teams were “front end only” which means they can’t be put in franchise mode but I think he also means the roster of those teams aren’t available to edit either

Would’ve completely changed the game for me. Would love to at least have access to the rosters!

Probably a licensing issues.
