Switching team playbook

So I usually make it a rule to use the team I play with's playbook but this year not really a fan of the Jets new offensive playbook. Question for you guys do you always use your teams playbook or do you switch them.

I was considering switch to one of the generic playbooks to make it realistic

Re: Switching team playbook

I switch at my leisure. I'm the coach, so we'll run whatever I say. The whole point is to run the best plays for your personnel, anyway. Those aren't always going to be in the default books.

Just about all of the specialty books are fantastic. All of them contain plays, formations, and/or schemes that are not available in any other book.

The only downside in CFM is that you will have to select the book before every game and you can't make use of formation subs from the My Coach menu.

Re: Switching team playbook

If you haven't already, learn how to make your own custom playbooks. It's really rewarding and adds an extra element to the game.

You can make a playbook that you enjoy using, but that is also somewhat realistic and close to what the team runs in real life.

It's also a more than organic/immersive way to change the scheme that you're using. Work on a new scheme and play boom during the season and implement it for the next.

But you can't actually create your own scheme correct?

Re: Switching team playbook

I make a custom book with Matt Nagy’s as the base since I use the Bears. I eliminate all the stuff I know I’ll never call and then go back and add all the stuff I want that’s missing, like stretch plays

Do formation subs work with it in franchise mode this year?
