I accidentally simmed past a week in my online franchise. I don't suppose there's a way to roll back is there?

Na man. Besides EA sucking at keeping the servers up, this is the main draw back of a cloud cfm.

In my experience this is entirely inaccurate.

I have played cloud franchise exclusively since Madden 13 and I have very rarely had issues accessing my leagues. Specific to Madden 20, I think there's been one or two days of downtime total, and both times that downtime was announced by EA beforehand.

You can fault EA for a lot of things about franchise, but in my experience cloud franchise server uptime is absolutely not one of those things.

All of this is extremely inaccurate. It was one of the biggest issues of this cycle. The game had a ton of server downtime and it was often on the weekends. You can find multiple threads about it throughout this past year.

There was a whole weekend in November when they were down. There's plenty to praise about Madden 20, but the Franchise servers were not one of them. They were horrible. No need to praise EA for something they were clearly terrible at this year.

I'm just telling you my personal experience over the past eight-plus years of running Madden online leagues which advance several times a week that I've rarely had issues. I guess YMMV, and I certainly don't want to minimize the bad experiences of those who had endured issues, but my friends and I simply haven't had those issues, the end. Speaking to the entirety of online franchise as a feature in all Madden games, my personal experience informs my opinion that EA does not"suck at keeping their servers up".

I'm at the very least well-aware of that mess about the whole mess of the OL abilities not getting into old leagues when they were added in a title update, which was a pain in the *** to deal with and I don't wish to ever go through again lol, but that's a separate discussion.

I don't care about abilities, but not being able to access my cloud franchise is a big deal and it happened to myself and many others frequently this year. There are articles about it all over the internet and on this site from Steve. It was a major issue.


I get that people have different experiences, but telling me what I said is "entirely inaccurate" because it doesn't match your opinion (even though tons of people in the madden community all over the internet had the exact same experience I did) is a bit of a joke. I've seen you ban a ton of dudes for making things personal, yet here you are jumping into a thread and making it personal. It's not necessary.

The servers were awful this year for a large majority of the community. Discussion over. No need to make it personal and come at me.

I had my fair share of franchise problems this year, but never really ran into anything in previous years. This year was particularly bad, as they were down for everyone for a time, then down for specific online franchises a little while longer, as they tried to squash the bugs.

It's not that the servers suck, it's just sometimes when you patch something, actually this happens a lot of times, when you patch something to fix a particular problem, it breaks something else. It's the life of a programmer, which I'm thankful I'm not one.

My franchise problem was fixed, during phases of the fixing. But there were plenty of others that could not access theirs. Then as other started to work, mine failed. It was so hit or miss. That 2 to 3 week period was indeed a mess, but I think if there were a few out there that just didn't play their online franchise for a particular 4 to 5 day period, they never saw an issue at all.
