Regardless of any speculative reasons for the game's current state, the pressure needs to be sustained.

The league may not care about specific issues that plague the game. But it does and has always cared about negative PR and how that shield is perceived. If #NFLdropEA continues to gain momentum, some calls might get made.

Most of the major gamer youtubers are discussing this. There's no way someone who searches for "Madden 21" on any social media platform won't see something about this.

It's encouraging and I hope it doesn't influence buying decisions. Because that's all EA cares about - money.

I feel like I know these guys all my life.

This face probably been in the game 8-10 years. Idk what Madden this was I found this pic on Twitter but I’m guessing Madden 15? This is getting ridiculous. After all these years we can’t pick beards, hairstyles and tattoos?

Does anyone know if the codes EA is giving away counts as a sale? If it does, it seems like a super dodgy way to inflate their monthly NPD numbers

Ah okay, then yeah probably right. 7 years on Madden/NCAA, and then he had the stop for Homefront before that at THQ/Kaos, but before both those he worked on Medal of Honor, which would be EA as well.

Actually, it's been in since Madden 07 on the 360/PS3.

Highly doubt that.

To me, this shows somewhat of a clear disconnect where people think that online opinion represents the entire market, when that often simply isn't the case. Is it really that hard to believe that the bulk of average consumers may still be generally satisfied with the series? Many casual players have no reason or interest to go online and post about it.

I think the Madden series hasn't made big changes that people want because ultimately the sales continue to show up. I think they'd absolutely listen more if the bottom line was actually hurt especially to the extent that some would have you believe.

Take the NBA 2K series for example, you'll find a huge amount of negativity surrounding it these days, and yet 2K20 went on to top the series record at over 14 million units sold.
