One thing that would make scouting significantly more interesting: college stats

For me, scouting, the draft, and the rookies are BY FAR the most important thing to Franchise, because they are the beating heart of hope for your developing team. But one thing that's never really discussed or considered that would make that aspect of the mode so much better is college stats. But they need to be implemented correctly.

Obviously, there are MANY ways college stats could be implemented. And it can be done with as much or as little complexity as you can imagine.Maybe it's as simple as giving stat leader boards, and then giving the user one extra thing to consider if he doesn't have the scouting points to get fully scout the last few guys he's interested in, with stats being about 65% accurate in predicting how good a player will be (so that it does give SOME information, even if it's still more of a crapshoot than fully scouting).
.
.

One way I would like to see college stats is to function similarly to the scouting messages that DeuceDouglas suggests in his own scouting overhaul. Like his scouts, they could still give bad information, but it depends on the context.

For example, if you see the statistics of a team showing that they are in shootouts every game, and they have a bunch of passing yards, you know that their QB has lots of production. But maybe the scouts say he has a weak arm (or some other physical flaw), so you know that his success may be due to the talent around him.

But what if the knock on this quarterback is that he's reckless and doesn't know how to read a defense. And let's say the team loses a lot of their games, so scouts say he has huge bust potential. A high ceiling, but low floor. Yet you look at the stats and see that he doesn't throw a lot of interceptions, and his yards per attempt are really high.

Then, you look at what scouts say about his WRs, and you see that they are all day two guys. Is he a diamond in the rough, like Mahomes was to a lot of people?

But let's say all the same things are true, except you see that his yards per attempt are really low, and in the games where his team loses by a couple of source, you see lots of interceptions. Is he a bust who is a product of scheme? Turns out that yeah, he wasn't why they were scoring so much.

.
.

Regardless of how deep you go with it, adding stats to college evaluations would go a long way to fleshing out the draft and making scouting more interesting.

Same. I'm not sure, but I think it's Deuce's ideas that show up in one of Eric Rayweather's latest videos. A very thorough scouting mockup screen comes up, and every bit of it would be great to have.
