How to trade-override for first round picks??

I want to start an updated franchise with the rosters post draft with the Giants.

Next year's draft, the Giants have an extra 1st and 3rd rounder they got for trading down, but I don't see any trade over ride listed in Madden.

Is there a hack or cheat around this??? I heard something about changing players to punter, but how would this help me get a first round pick from the Bears easily??

If you're playing an Offline Franchise, you can add a user team as whatever team you want to trade with and any and all trades between the two teams will be accepted.

If you're online you can only control one team at a time unless you invite a friend to your league/franchise. So a friend could join and accept the trade for you.

Online you could also retire as your current character and take over the coach/owner of the other team and do the trade easily from their side. You will lose your progress as the coach you actually play as so you may not want to do that if you're playing as a created HC. If you're playing as a real life coach though, that's doable.

You could also edit the top 2-3 players on the team you want to trade with and turn them into Punters, trade for them with cheap free agent signings or lower draft picks, edit them back to their positions and then trade them back to their team for higher draft picks. That might put your salary caps in some wackiness so just be aware of that too.

I am playing offline franchise (But on cloud? does that matter?) so I will try that. How do I de-select the team I don't want to play after the fact? Or is too late by then?

Could you edit a player you’re going to cut and make him a 99, then trade him for the picks and edit him back to the original ratings after the trade?

Yeah 100%. This is what I do. Sometimes they're weird about it and you have to trade two 99's to get a high pick. Sometimes you have to up their ratings and then advance a week before the AI will correctly value the player.
