benson update

I'm from the Chi and have the latest. Benson met with GM Jerry Angelo on Friday, and a deal could be done by the end of the weekend.

BTW, Benson came in on his own against his agent's wishes.

And then he went back to Texas and shipped his cars back there too. This one's gonna go well into the regular season, if not the whole season.

On tv, it said Benson met with the GM with his baseball agent and no negotiations were discussed.

Benson had a different agent for baseball. Parker is his agent for football, Brian Peters (I believe) is his baseball agent which he has had since being drafted by the Dodgers in 2001.

The way I see this thing playing out is Benson fires Parker, Angelo negotiates a deal and Benson signs, with Angelo becoming Benson's new NFL agent. If this doesn't occur....it's going to be a LOOOONNNNNG holdout.

Benson is signed!!! I told you jerks that he could be signed by the weekend.
