Wrong age for players?

I was going through looking at some players and looked Julius Peppers who was born in 1980, same with Freeney but when I looked at his age it said 29. In his edit player he is listed as being born in 1978, the 4th of January.

He's born on Feburary 19, what the hell? I wonder how many other players ages are wrong.

I notice Mcnabb also had his age wrong, he's 30 but he's 29 in the game.

I have seen tons of players with the wrong ages throughout the game. They are always one year younger it appears.

According to nflplayers.com Freeney is 29, so I guess it depends which website you go to, some say 1980 for him, others say 1978. So Mcnabb is the only one who is supose to be 30 but is 29.

That one bugs me the most the come out a low age but if you edit anything jersey number or just equipment it adds anywere from 1 - 3 years of age.

I noticed last year Al Harris was 32 (correction as from the site I seen it on), Charles Woodson 31 (Turns 31 this October). I looked this year Al Harris 33 this year which again is correct. Woodson was 29, wtf?! After the roster update I noticed he is 31 which he's turning in October, never checked his birthday but as far as I'm concerned they have no idea how old he is.
