Ok, so I don't have a PS2 anymore, which means I can't use the max drive or sharkport. However, in this thread: does the ps3? the guy converted them over to PS3 files for me.

Hopefully he'll be able to do it again, but if not, does anyone know how I could get them converted?

I've converted the PS2 Max Drive files from page 5 to PS3 format for those that play PS2 games on their PS3. It took a little longer than I expected, but it's because I was using only one flash drive, so I had to go back and forth.

If I may make one suggestion, can anyone who creates these classes, include the year in the save name. Not that using 1, 2, and 3 are confusing, but it's easier with the year itself. That being said, here's the classes.

And for those that don't know, the file you download will be named after the class year that they are. Just copy the PS3 folder inside there to your memory stick/usb drive and import it from there.

can the .rar files on page 5 be used right to a maxdrive? Or do they have to be converted to .max files? I'm having some struggles

You'll need to download WinRAR (there's a free trial) to "unzip" these .rar files. Inside them are regular old .max files you can use. RAR is just a way of compressing a folder to make it easier to upload.
