Take a look at how I converted Madden rosters for PSP. It will more than likely work for PS2 as well. It should use the same save database format. If not, I can take a stab at it at some point but I'll need someone's save file for Madden 12 PS2 as a base.

Here's madden 12 rosters for ps2 that are current at the end of 2015 season. They are my PSP rosters ported directly over. It may crash if you try to start a franchise with it though. Same issue with PSP.

There's a franchise save attached too. This starts off with User controlled on every player, however EACH team is set to CPU assist. Switch your team to USER to play. You can also export the Franchise save out and open it in NZA Madden Editor to choose your team and disable others.

Added an updated version. May have had a St Louis/LA bug... but fixed it and added some enhancements.
