What are you all doing with Peyton Manning in Franchise?

So, with Manning being hurt but not being on Indy's IR, what are you doing with Peyton in offline franchise mode? I prefer to make him hurt starting the season, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. I was thinking of just making him drastically terrible and hoping that the Colts don't start him... Has this worked for anybody?

ANy tips on getting it so that the Franchise CPU controlled Colts don't start Manning, or getting him to not appear really in Franchise mode? If I edit him down to like 40overall, will the Colts automatically start Kerry Collins ahead of him?

I switched him with the team's punter to take him off of the active depth chart.

in the first preaseason game, i upped the injury slider then ran him like a bat out of hell and on the first play *smash*. Injured. returned the slider to 0 and simmed the rest of the game. He is going to be on IR soon anyway.

Switch him to punter, then around week 6 switch him back. He'll be starting when you switch him.

I don't see him playing this year not worth the risk,looks like my colts are 1-15 or 2-14 team without him.Maybe we will get the number one overall pick and take Luck!

I put him as starter for the Colts. It's a game, I don't start my season with anyone hurt and turn off injuries in the preseason. From there it's anyone's call.
