Roster with created FA's?

I'd rather have players that are UDFAs than players who are 80s overall and get signed to random teams when you start a franchise. Why does it matter if Vince Young (for example) is listed as a rookie? As long as he is present on the game.

Well there is a few reasons.

1 you don't want Vince Young going for rookie of the year at age 30, when he has been in the league 7 years
2 the commentators will use phrase like 'the rookie'
3 it's an annoying visual thing when the players names come up on the screen that it says rookie under it.
4 it's just not realistic
5 and EA had this in the game for 20 years and took it out
6 It can also effect retirement. Vince Young in a created player would probably play till he is 45

as for Vince Young he is present in the latest roster update, I think lots of rosters going around in the shares have him created as a rookie because we can't change it.

I wish that we had a export and import option so we can work on our own rosters share created players, and be able to export guys like Matt Leinart who would be on the next roster update to the one we work on. I mean I could spend 1 week updating the roster then EA bring a new one out and have new players added with their portraits. and it gets on my nerves!

I know it seems only little but it's little things like this that just really get to me why they purposely took out a option like that from the game in over 20 years is beyond me, only reason is so its not to perfect for us.
